Greetings to all our AWESOME GL Gang members, welcome to this week’s Mini Creations,
We’re LOVING the Easter holidays. We’re seeing loads of my friends and family and having a rather jolly time. Me and Grace thought your Mini Creations from last week were sooooooo cool. There were so many yummy ones too and we both felt rather hungry afterwards. I’ve finally convinced Grace that Haribo is the only proper snack in the entire world, and when we spoke the other day, she informed me that she’s made Missy V stock up on Haribo for when we’re reading all your posts……….. just to stave off the hunger pangs until dinner time.
Parents, this is a very straightforward photo linky we are running every Wednesday so you can keep a record of the things your kids have done so you can remember them and not feel guilty when you throw them away! You are welcome to explain what it is, put a date on it as well as the age of your child and then it will go on your blog and our linky for all time as a memory for you to treasure.
The Mother has asked a rather large favour from me for this week’s Mini Creations and after some rather intense questioning – the Mother mentioned something about the Spanish Inquisition(?) – I agreed to her request. My only compromise would be that I would still write it.
Our Mini Creation this week is something of a family legacy. It was knitted for Uncle Chich by Nanny Bet (the Mother’s Nanny) nearly 30 years ago, and once Chich got too big for it, it’s been worn by several of the charges my Nanny used to look after, I’ve worn it on several occasions, and it’s even been worn by my cousin, Baby Ace, after a particularly interesting episode involving Weetabix and honey.
The Mother misses her Nanny so much and says that Easter is the one time of the year that she thinks of her more than any other time, and as I love my own Nanny very much, and would really miss her if she wasn’t here, I thought it would be nice for us to show all our GL Gang members this really AWESOME jumper that I think is pretty cool, even after all these years.
Nanny Bet knitted many jumpers for the Mother, Chich and Uncle Hairy when they were kids, including Postman Pat, someone called Dangermouse and a jumper for Mummy which always makes her laugh when she talks about it. It showed a scene with two My Little Pony’s playing in a field and Nanny Bet had made the pony’s tails into tassels, but the Mother always said it looked a bit naughty as the tassels were placed on the end of her boobies!!!
Anyway, we really hope you enjoy our Mini Creation this week and hope you don’t mind that it’s a little different but I know this will make the Mother very happy for you all to see her Nanny’s really awesome work.
And now, Grace’s turn:
As you probably all know, my Mum writes a blog and has been for a while now. I have got used to pausing for photos for EVERYTHING. On Monday we were making some Chocolate Giggle biscuits from Sweetpea Pantry to review over on her blog together with a couple of other packets – pancakes and flapjacks (this blogging thing is pretty cool!!). Anyway, every time poured something or mixed something or, even when I was cutting the bag open with scissors I paused for her to take a picture. I am so used to this now!! There is a competition to make Chocolate Giggle biscuits at the moment and so I decided to make a special creation. In my Grace’s Gossip post yesterday I told you that I went shopping with my cousin last Thursday (I can’t wait until we are older when the Mum’s aren’t there!!). Well, I decided to remember that trip by making the biscuits into shapes of girls, shoes, handbags and a lipstick:
We can’t wait to see your Mini Creations this week. Enjoy the rest of the holidays! love Grace and Lucas xx
