Isn’t this sunshine awesome? The Mother’s gotten the paddling pool out and she likes to sit at her outside table, tapping away at her computer, sipping her wine whilst watching me splashing away. Any excuse, right?
Anyway, I feel I have a bit of an apology to make. I reckon that you all probably think we’ve been a bit remiss when it comes to what the Mother would call ‘proper’ Mini Creations. This is painting, gluing, sticking, model-making and anything which involves me having to wipe my hands on the Mother’s suede curtains! Well, the thing is, now that it’s getting to Summer, I’ve been spending a lot more time playing outside. I’m riding my bike. Playing football with my friends and going to the park near my house. But, this is what I love about Mini Creations. Me and Grace have always been quite clear about what Mini Creations means to us. It means that we love seeing ANYTHING that has been created as a result of you awesome dudes and dudettes using your imagination. We enjoy seeing your art work and crafting. We get very hungry when we read about what you’ve been baking and cooking and we are super excited when we see anything to do with Lego. As far as we’re concerned we just want to encourage your imaginations so we welcome any form of ‘creation’. From model making to Lego towns. Painting to sewing. Face painting to home-made videos. We wanna see them all………………
So, with this in mind, I’ve decided that this week, I wanted to share with you my love of den building. Den building is soooooooo cool. You can use whatever you’ve got around the house. Chairs, tables, sheets, blankets. Then you make a den and you pretty much tell the Mother that you want to live in your den for the rest of life. As you can see, I’ve been a keen den builder from a very young age……………. Also, now that the weather is getting sunnier, you can build dens outside and if you talk to the Big People nicely, maybe they’ll let you have a sleepover in the garden. How cool would that be?
